I guess this is more kind of a work-around than a solution but it worked for me: The configure error persisted although there wasn't any krb5 or heimdal installed on my system. After another research in mailing list archives I found this: http://answerpot.com/showthread.php?233349-databases%2Fevolution-data-server%3A+krb5+not+found I rebuilt and reinstalled security/openssl with the non default and "obsolete" option MD2 enabled. After this evolution's build continued. I am afraid some kind of dependency will have to be repaired.
