Can someone > provide an estimate, or maybe someone really have build the world > on a 486, as stated above? I have a 486 DX4 100MHz with 42 MB RAM and a standard IDE drive. It takes me about 24 hours to do the make buildworld portion and around 3-4 hours for the make buildkernel part. The installs go pretty quickly and it's mostly just file copies and/or moves.
