Summary: Failed to Mount Filesystem, An installation step has
                    aborted
           Product: Base System
           Version: 10.2-RELEASE
          Hardware: i386
                OS: Any
            Status: New
          Severity: Affects Only Me
          Priority: ---
         Component: misc
          Assignee: freebsd-bugs@FreeBSD.org
          Reporter: hmbright@fastmail.com

Hello FreeBSD

I am attempting to install FreeBSD-10.2-RELEASE-i386-memstick.img
on an old 32-bit x86 Dell Optiplex 210L. I get the following failure when
attempting to install to the entire disk.

Writing partition tables....
Initializing ada0p2....

Failed to mount filesystem
An installation step has aborted.

I know that GPT has done something because when I reboot it gives me "gptboot"
errors about No /boot/loader /boot/kernel/kernel on 0:ad(0p2)

Here are a few lines from DMESG that describe the disk in question.

ada0: ST340212AS 8.04 ATA-7 ATA 2.x device
ada0: 150.000MB/s transfers SATA UDMA5 PIO 8192 bytes
ada0: 38146MB (78125000 512 byte sectors: 16H 63S/T 16383C)
ada0: previously was known as ad0

Thanks
-Don B
