Writing to -current list because CAM is current child. As subject says I can't install FreeBSD on the IBM NetFinity 3500. This machine has Adaptec AIC-7895P chip built-in and provides two-channel SCSI interface. Of course I used right boot image grabbed from location http://www.freebsd.org/~abial/cam-boot/. Kernel probes controller and I see kernel messages about it, but panics immediately after messages: ( probe0:ahc0:0:0:0): Sending SDTR!! ( probe0:ahc0:0:1:0): Sending SDTR!! panic: page fault Now I'm stopped reboot process and scrolled back and there are some other messages below (subjectively) that panic message: changing root device to fd0c rootfs is 1440 Kbyte compiled in MFS running as init on vty0 Controller has an external SCSI connector connected to channel B without any device on it and two IBM DCHS04U hard drives (4,5GB each) connected to channel A ( scsi ID 0 and 1 respectively). I have played with SCSISelect utility but no luck. Are there some points I missed ? Can somebody explain what these messages means before panic and maybe all that is my fault.
