Hi, I'm trying to compile GNOME, I updated my ports with cvsup (all of them), and I just recently installed 4.6 kernel (as well as rebuilt the world), I went to /usr/ports/x11/gnome, typed make, then make install, it worked fine (relatively speaking, had to do a few manual installs of one or two libraries [from ports of course]) until I got this: ===> Verifying install for nautilus in /usr/ports/x11-fm/nautilus ===> Configuring for nautilus-1.0.6_5 loading cache ./config.cache checking for a BSD compatible install... /usr/bin/install -c -o root -g wheel checking whether build environment is sane... yes checking whether gmake sets ${MAKE}... yes *snip* *snip* checking for GLIB - version >= 1.2.9... yes checking for gtk-config... /usr/X11R6/bin/gtk12-config checking for GTK - version >= 1.2.9... yes checking for gnome-config... /usr/X11R6/bin/gnome-config checking for GNOME - version >= 1.2.8... test: 1.7: bad number yes checking for additional GNOME modules... vfs xml*** bonobo library is not installed configure: error: *** GNOME 1.2.8 or better is required. ===> Script "configure" failed unexpectedly. Please report the problem to gnome@FreeBSD.org [maintainer] and attach the "/usr/ports/x11-fm/nautilus/work/nautilus-1.0.6/config.log" including the output of the failure of your make command. Also, it might be a good idea to provide an overview of all packages installed on your system (e.g. an `ls /var/db/pkg`). *** Error code 1 Stop in /usr/ports/x11-fm/nautilus. *** Error code 1 Stop in /usr/ports/x11/gnome. Could someone tell me why it's not working? Thanks in advance. And please include my email in the reply as I am not subscribed to this mailing list. I hope I can resolve this issue. ---- Andrei Cojocaru spinlock_lists@empirequest.com To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-questions" in the body of the message
