I just installed Sendmail 8.8.5 and it appears to be working well. However, the header says (8.8.5/8.8.3) now 8.8.3 is the version that was installed with FreeBSD 2.1.6 - when I changed it to 8.8.5 I assumed it would change these. The Unix System Administration Handbook says the second indicator is the Version of the config file (I assume that means the sendmail.cf file). How does it know what version it is? The handbook says the "V" command sets it, but my .cf file says V7/Berkeley not V8.8.3/Berkelely, so how is this set and/or configured? ---Mike
