I used ftp-installation of FreeBSD 4.5. And used "skip kernel configuration...".
When I try to get distributions from ftp, connection stalled and system is hang. Problem repeating when you use ftp insallation from LAN...
>How-To-Repeat:
Try use FTP installation with "skip kernel configuration..." with NIC Intel PRO/100 S Desktop Adapter ( TRIPLE DES 751767-004 - chipset ). Or use this NIC for get large file from ftp server (use standart options and settings for fxp device in kernel and rc.conf).

      Use another (old) Intel Pro/100 adapter....    :)
