Supposedly they contributed it to the FSF, but I haven't seen it appear
in there yet.  Judging from the response I got when I asked the original
authors about the improvements I made to the assembler for that port,
I think development on it has stopped.  That's a shame, because the current
pseudo-register scheme the 6811 backend uses ends up being rather
inefficient.  Good thing the optimizer is pretty good :-)
