Thanks to all who responded to my panic problems with my port of my Cyclades driver from BSDI to FreeBSD. Doug Rabson hit the nail on the head. Thanks Doug! The panics are now all gone, and the driver is working well. I'm doing some stress testing now and trying things like PPP. Now I have a couple of issues that need resolving: 1. FreeBSD seems to have bidir support in the device driver rather than at the application level. Is this the official policy? I.E. using /dev/cua and /dev/ttyd? 2. What is sio_tty used for in /sys/i386/conf.c? I hacked my code to handle cyb_tty in the same way, but on my own this is not the way I would normally handle this structure. I would have put it in cysoftb myself. Thanks for all your help. Whats next? MPEG Hardware decoder and HighSpeed Sync Controller (up to 4Mbits per second) Brian Litzinger brian@easynet.com
