Hi all, I have just installed and reinstalled FreeBSD 2.0.5-RELEASE about 6 or 7 times trying to get it to boot. The system installs fine...its just that when I reboot after the installation I get a message that says 'missing operating system'. I then try to boot off the floppy and specify sd(0,a)/kernel and it works. I suspect that the installation program is not installing the boot code onto the disk. Is there any way to manually install the boot code? The system is a cyrix 486dx66 with an adaptec 1542/1540 ? controller and a seagate hawk st-32430n fast scsi-2 2 gig drive. It also has a smc ethernet card. Any help on this would be much appreciated...
