Depends somewhat on your reasons to wait. I don't see any strong ones. 3.0 is going to be improved over 2.2.5, as 2.2.5 was improved over 2.2.2, but 3.0 isn't imminent. The cost of the CD isn't all that much, and 2.2.5 is a pretty solid release, judging by the lack of complaints.
