Hi Warren, Dewayne got back to me, and it appears the only solution is to put "CPUTYPE=" in the gcc6-aux makefile. I think the bootstrap compiler (the ada-capable compiler downloaded to build gcc6-aux) doesn't know these instructions and that's the issue. The options are don't override CPUTYPE or regenerate the bootstrap, but that might have other consequences or won't fix every combination. John
