Hello, I've noticed that sendmail misbehaves when there are zombie processes and that it is not easy to get rid of these processes: 2118 ?? Z 0:00.00 (sendmail) 3356 ?? Ss 0:00.01 sendmail: accepting connections on port 25 (sendmail) 3357 ?? S 0:00.18 sendmail: LAA01821: from queue (sendmail) 5509 ?? Z 0:00.00 (sendmail) 12905 ?? Z 0:00.00 (sendmail) 14306 ?? Z 0:00.00 (sendmail) 27086 ?? Z 0:00.00 (sendmail) 3379 p1 R+ 0:00.00 grep sendmail kill -9 does not work. Does anyone know how to deal with these without rebooting?
