hi all, 2 newbie questions for you...

1. is there any good downloader app for freebsd? like
one that u can have a list of downloads going to
different directories and being able to resume and
throtle downloads?

2. some apps that say they are for kde or gnome, what
does this mean? do you need to be running the actual
desktop in order to run the app? or is it enough if
you have the libraries for kde or gnome without
running the kde or gnome windows manager?
