The range of bt848-based cards made by Hauppauge, STB, et.al. work very nicely. They're PCI capture boards that can do overlay on your video card. Check out http://www.freebsd.org/~ahasty/Bt848.html for more info. You'll need to fetch an updated vic which has a properly modified framegrabber.
