[originally sent to freebsd-questions] Trying to install FreeBSD 4.6.2-RELEASE #0: Wed Aug 14 21:23:26 GMT 2002 murray@builder.freebsdmall.com:/usr/src/sys/compile/GENERIC i386 on a new ECS iBuddy4 desknote with sis900 fast ethernet card. The sis900 is never attached. When I look at dmesg output, I see repeated blocks about the sis900: => sis0: <SiS 900 10/100BaseTX> port 0xd400-0xd4ff mem 0xdfffb000-0xdfffbfff irq 5 at device 3.0 on pci0 => sis0: Ethernet address: (...mac address...) => sis0: MII without any PHY! => device_probe_and_attach: sis0 attach returned 6 I can use this device without problems under win2k. How can I proceed to get the sis900 working? -- Guido Van Hoecke <Guido@VanHoecke.org> To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-hackers" in the body of the message
