Hi,

my machine is an amd5x86 with 32MB RAM = and 1,2 GB=20 Harddisk. I produced a 300MB partition for freebsd release 3.2 [ftp=20 download].

a) When I try to install the stuff = I end up=20 with

MAKEDEV returned non-zero = status

What can one do?

b) While installing bin dist one can = watch=20 somehundredthousands bytes of junk beeing skipped on virtual = terminal=20 2.

Does that matter?

c) I have got about 200MB for my /usr = partition.=20 Installing ports dist ends up in

/mnt/usr: create/symlink failed, no = inodes=20 free

d) Trying to do something on virtual = terminal 4=20 often ends up in a

segmentation fault

In case all this cannot be fixed by one = simple=20 trick , I would be happy, if Iknew a nice book, manual, = online-doc or=20 something like that, where I could find out myself. Which reminds me=20 of

e) of course

man <xxx>

does not work [-> d)].

Thanx a lot.=20 Uli.
