Yes, its no problem - I have built 1.4 and 1.4.1 under FreeBSD2.0 and 2.0.5. Trailing white spaces at the end of some of the lines in the makefiles will cause make to puke - just remove them with your fav. text editor before making ! P.S. Seems to be a lot of support for APACHE which is supposed to be an improved derivitive of NCSA's HTTPd. (One version also supports SSL https) APACHE is in the ports collection.
