Actually a newer Intel MB just succeeded, but 99% of the pxe enabled cards fail at 100Mbit. from sniffing the net the broadcast dhcp request does not make it. it does not help to set the switch to 'no auto negotiation', ie fixed 100 (full or half duplex).
