Message-ID: MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: TEXT/PLAIN; charset=US-ASCII Sender: owner-questions@freebsd.org X-Loop: FreeBSD.org Precedence: bulk Hello, Yesterday evening networking stopped completly on my 2.2-stable FreeBSD server. When I rebooted it in the morning, it restarted correctly. It had the fallowing lines in the log: Jun 3 20:09:32 spike routed[59]: punt RTM_LOSING without gateway Jun 3 20:10:15 spike last message repeated 2 times Jun 3 20:12:15 spike last message repeated 5 times Jun 3 20:22:26 spike last message repeated 14 times Jun 3 20:23:28 spike xntpd[87]: sendto(192.12.207.1): No route to host Jun 3 20:23:29 spike routed[59]: punt RTM_LOSING without gateway Jun 3 20:23:41 spike xntpd[87]: sendto(128.8.10.1): No route to host Jun 3 20:23:56 spike routed[59]: punt RTM_LOSING without gateway Jun 3 20:24:21 spike last message repeated 5 times And it was repeated all over and over until I restarted the machine. All other machines (Linux and novell) worked fine on the same network segment in the same period of time. Could you explain me what happened? Summer break is just comming, and this network problem makes me a bit nervous... Thanx for your time, bye, Peter Peter Czanik GAU Faculty of Agriculture czanik@fang.fa.gau.hu http://fang.fa.gau.hu/~czanik/
