Our client a $200M international company in Internet Gaming is looking for
a Senior Unix Administrator / Wiz to join their team in Caribbean. You will
have extensive experience in:
Unix Administration (Free BSD, Linus, Open Source)
- System Admin experience.
- Sendmail experience.
- Extensive scripting experience (more like a programmer than the simple
automation of tasks).
- Experience in a mix Windwos/Unix envrionment.
- Experience with Snort is an asset.
- Experience with log monitoring, filtering, etc.
- Experience compiling various open source software using Make.
- Experience programming with C.
- Experience with various web site application hacking methods (SQL
Injection, Cross-Server Scripting, etc.)
- Experience in automation of all system management tasks.
- Experience integrating geographically seperate site.
- Experience configuring switches (VLAN, ACLs, SPANNING TREE, UPGRADES,
etc.)
- Experience configuring firewalls (ACLs, VLANs, etc.)
- Solid understanding of layer2 and layer 3 protocols and concepts.
- Keen understanding and alertness around security issues.
- Uncontrolable urge to automate everything.
- Ability to work independently .
- Ability to communicate orally and in writing in a clear and
straightforward manner.
- Communicate with all levels of management and company personnel.
- Ability to make decisions and solve problems while working under
pressure.
- Ability to handle multiple projects and tasks.
- Ability to prioritize and organize effectively.
- Ability to work independently.
- Willingness to work in an official 7/16 envrionment with frequent off
hour calls.
