What about doing the following in each of the XFree86-4-subports: MASTERDIR=${PORTSDIR}/x11/XFree86-4 WRKDIR=${MASTERDIR}/work Then make XFree86-4 like other meta-ports, except have it fetch the distfiles. Thus all the XFree86-4-subports could share the same working directory, no?
