I had patches in the works to make the image optional.  Without it the
screen is a bit off balance and bare, so I was trying to figure out a
different layout that looked ok.  However, there were a quite a few
complaints about the timer, text, options, and keys that had nothing to
do with the image.

I won't object to someone else picking this up and seeing what they can
do with it.  Unfortunately, I just don't have time or energy anymore to
fight this fight.
