I have a program that wants to shift stuff around using FTP. (It wants to put, not get, so the ftp stuff in sysinstall isn't any help). So, I fork off a copy of /usr/bin/ftp -n and talk to it. It does everything that I tell it to, which is fine. BUT I want to see whether what I've transferred has made it. So I issue an 'nlist ' command. Oddly enough, it gets written by the slave, but doesn't immediately show up at my end; in fact it's not until I ask the slave to quit that I hear it. If I had more time, I'd investigate further, but has anyone else done this before, and what results did they get?
