I just got an NCA 54AS PCI motherboard. When booting the latest SNAP boot floppy neither the onboard Adaptec 7850 Controller nor the PCI bus is detected (which contains a PCI VGA card). Isn't the 7850 the same chip used on the Adaptec 2940 PCI adapter? In any case, anyone got any ideas why neither the controller nor the PCI bus is being recognized by the boot floppy? Thanks, Brian Litzinger brian@easynet.com The 54AS is 75-133 Mhz Pentium (mine has 75) 5 slot ISA 3 slot PCI On board Adaptec 7850 SCSI controller On board EIDE On board Floppy/2 Serial/Parallel 8 to 128MB Ram (mine has 32) My setup includes Some nameless PCI VGA Card.
