Am I correct in observing that everyone reporting this problem with the ncr driver, including myself, has a Fujitsu disk? Looking through the mailing list archives I found previous mention that the error might indicate bad cabling, but I tried a bunch of different cables and configurations of devices on the bus with no change in behavior. -john
