Just an hour before, I discovered that the account of mine is in bad group, the group id was 1001, the same as the userid, but there's no group with such an id. Original I intended to create it with id 1000, which is the 'other' group's id on my machine. So I corrected the problem in /etc/passwd with 'vipw' and now I can't change my password, except if I log in as root. What can be the problem? Thanks in advance P.S. :Here are lists of some files related to passwd on the FBSD-2.2.2-RELEASE CDROM and on my HD.
