Any idea why skype is not seeing /dev/video8? Is it worth to debug this or is it just the older Skype version? Btw: the cam Logitech HD Webcam Pro c910 produces the best pictures I have ever seen; in my company we use this as well for comercial videoconferencing with Tandberg Movie.
