	It does sound like we have a bug all right. bsdtar
appears to be the only implementation of tar that understands
ISO9660 images. gtar installed just fine from the ports
collection but it simply exits instantly without doing anything
when presented with the ISO image.
	For now, I will work with rsync again and see if that
might work plus re-try building another memory stick image which
is actually preferable to a re-mastered CD.

good suggestions.
