Is anyone else seeing this on their systems, or is it just me? As I'm not sure what info maybe helpful I'll just leave it at the facts that I'm running on an Inspiron 8000 with a maestro3 chipset. I'm having the issues with ogle, mplayer, and xmms. I'm running most sound through esd (the package from the install cd -- esound-0.2.32_1). Other than this (admittedly slight but increasingly annoying) sound issue everything else works *very* nicely. If this can be resolved I'll very happily run 5.2.1 as my main working environment (I've got two 4.9 installs on the disk and one of those is my day-to-day environment). Sean
