I looked at the code. While it has been reworked in the intervening time, = it still does not appear to have any media presence checks. So I think this p= atch is probably still useful. At the moment, I cannot actually test things, because I am nomading again a= nd have only a wifi laptop with me. No access to a box with wired Ethernet. However, I have updated the patch so that it applies and compiles with the current code.
