Hi, I just wanted to try a splash at boot, so I compiled my kernel with these options : device splash options SC_PIXEL_MODE options VESA options X86BIOS And added to my /boot/loader.conf : splash_bmp_load="YES" bitmap_load="YES" bitmap_name="/boot/splash.bmp" Where splash.bmp is a 1024x768 picture. It works well, but after the boot, the splash does not die and I must press some key to remove it. For the moment I found a workaround to prevent this by adding to the /etc/rc.conf : allscreens_flags="MODE_291" Is this behavior expected or is it a bug? Kind regards. -- Demelier David
