One thing to keep in mind, is that doing a "make deinstall" on the
meta-port doesn't actually deinstall all of the kde ports.  (I wish it
did).

You'll have to manually go through and de-install all of the kde stuff one
by one.

PIB in the ports collection, may assist you with this endevor.
