It has a built-in hot-plug DAT device. I want to use it to backup some data= . The kernel only got the ciss0 SCSI device. I don't know how to use it. if I execute 'tar' with the /dev/ciss0 directly , it shows a error message tar: /dev/ciss0: Wrote only 0 of 10240 bytes tar: Error is not recoverable: exiting now I'm newbie for DL380. Could anyone tell me how to use this DAT device or give me some suggestion = ? Does it need to customize kernel or something else ? I use 'dmesg' to get kernel device's information as following: Copyright (c) 1992-2003 The FreeBSD Project.
