OK. Thanks. I just realized that I have been to fast. If I wait a little bit longer I get some more messages. I attached umass2.log I also added "options CAMDEBUG" to the kernel. camdebug_attach.log and camdebug_detach.log attached. And I found my drive in the verbose output of "camcontrol". With drive detached: ------------------------------------------------------------------------- % sudo camcontrol devlist -v scbus-1 on xpt0 bus 0: <> at scbus-1 target -1 lun -1 (xpt0) ------------------------------------------------------------------------- With drive attached: ------------------------------------------------------------------------- % sudo camcontrol devlist -v scbus0 on umass-sim0 bus 0: at scbus0 target 0 lun 0 (probe0) <> at scbus0 target -1 lun -1 () scbus-1 on xpt0 bus 0: <> at scbus-1 target -1 lun -1 (xpt0) ------------------------------------------------------------------------- It seems it is hanging during probe. I will jump into this a little bit deeper. Thanks Tobi --=-OQM2l0CXW/02Q/ApMp8G--
