Bugzilla Automation <bugzilla@FreeBSD.org> has asked freebsd-elastic (Nobod= y) <elastic@FreeBSD.org> for maintainer-feedback: Bug 259897: textproc/elasticsearch7 https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=3D259897 --- Description --- Hej, it seems like the default port does not work properly with IPv6. Starting Elasticsearch with an IPv6 address in `network.host` in `/usr/local/etc/elasticsearch/elasticsearch.yml`, it errors out with `java.net.SocketException: Protocol family unavailable` Setting `elasticsearch_java_home=3D"/usr/local/openjdk8"` in `/etc/rc.conf`= , it works fine, but using the default java version or openjdk11, it doesn't work with IPv6. We're running Elasticsearch in a jail. Cheers, Philip
