In other words, change: USE_GNOME=pkgconfig to: USE_PKGCONFIG=build The prior is deprecated because it brings in pkgconf as a build and a runtime dependency where pkgconf is almost always needed for build only. It would be good to check if any dependent ports are relying on this port for an indirect dependency of pkgconf before changing it, though. -- Jason E.
