I assume your FAT16 is on the first partition on your first drive, and you are using IDE drives, then: # mkdir /dos # only if needed mount -t msdos /dev/wd0s1 /dos or add the following line to your /etc/fstab (if you want to mount the filesystem automatically on system boots): /dev/w0s1 /dos msdos rw 0 0 to avoid rebooting and mount right away: mount /dos --mark.
