So dead end. I think I know what dmesg does (I assume it's the same on FreeBSD as on sorry Linux) but if the kernel halts you won't be able to run anything. I wish I had a bit more time on my hands, but I'm a bit under pressure... So could you explain the settings to me a bit? Regards Friedrich
