Hi, I'm working on a patch to update the default linux compatibility environment from linux_base (v7) to linux_base-8. The patch is at http://www.leidinger.net/FreeBSD/port-patches/linux.diff ("cd /usr/ports; patch </path/to/linux.diff"). It's scheduled to be run on our portsbuild cluster, but when more people test the patch, the update of the ports tree will be better (and the cluster will not detect run-time problems). So, please download the patch and update all your linux ports (instructions available in ${PORTSDIR}/UPDATING after patching). If anything doesn't work or if everything goes well: report back (don't forget to tell us what you tested and provide a copy&paste of error texts). Bye, Alexander. -- The best things in life are free, but the expensive ones are still worth a look. http://www.Leidinger.net Alexander @ Leidinger.net GPG fingerprint = C518 BC70 E67F 143F BE91 3365 79E2 9C60 B006 3FE7
