I however was wondering since someone else had asked, if there was any type of a lib or such in freebsd which attempts to perform some of the functions that this seems to be attempting to do. I don't recall seeing anything like this in freebsd's base system or in the ports collection but figured it might be covered by something similar or possibly considered to be looked into for addition to freebsd.
