[-- Attachment #1 --] Hi, actually, if you are talking about picobsd (or similar small *BSD build), the image file will contain a UFS format filesystem. Not FAT (DOS native format), not EXT3 (linux native format), but UFS (BSD native format). You can mount and access the *resulting* floppy anyway you'd like from any BSD system. But the image file does contain a low-level partition image, not a file to be saved on a file system. The 'dd' command, or tool such as rawrite in DOS systems, must be used to dump the entire image to the disk in a low level fashion, as Kyryll suggests. You need to write RAW data sector-to-sector to the floppy (if I understand the problem) using > dd if=image_file of=/dev/fd0 > on UNIX, or with rawrite on Windows. > The resulting diskette'll contain small booting program which unpacks the rest of the data (~4M, packed to one floppy) to RAM, then starts freebsd. > This diskette won't be readabe nor on Windows, neihter on *nix! > > -- > - . http://www.ukrpost.net/ > IMAP POP3 NNTP RSSNews Unicode. > > _______________________________________________ > freebsd-small@freebsd.org mailing list > http://lists.freebsd.org/mailman/listinfo/freebsd-small > To unsubscribe, send any mail to "freebsd-small-unsubscribe@freebsd.org" -- Juha-Matti Liukkonen, Cubical Solutions Ltd Phone: +358(0)405280142 Email: jml@cubical.fi [-- Attachment #2 --] 0 *H 010 + 0 *H J00 O~0 *H 0]10 UBE10U GlobalSign nv-sa10U Class 2 CA10UGlobalSign Class 2 CA0 030617102904Z 040621135539Z0K10 UFI10UJuha-Matti Liukkonen10 *H jml@cubical.fi00 *H 0 -J$y[k~>EQJy-?:c)Uŵ `DkTޚ"甋^7_<=*J{wl;*1QpXc\>=ߡǓ,~ }0{0 `HB0U0U#0nב`W Wv3YQ05U.0,0*(&$http://crl.globalsign.net/class2.crl0 *H |Sbt%vS{]P62<Pe4t@ŋ"Mϛh7є]K<~yfȰGTɷ1ٺc/'[}Ƙ[ #_0L00 O~0 *H 0]10 UBE10U GlobalSign nv-sa10U Class 2 CA10UGlobalSign Class 2 CA0 030617102904Z 040621135539Z0K10 UFI10UJuha-Matti Liukkonen10 *H jml@cubical.fi00 *H 0 -J$y[k~>EQJy-?:c)Uŵ `DkTޚ"甋^7_<=*J{wl;*1QpXc\>=ߡǓ,~ }0{0 `HB0U0U#0nב`W Wv3YQ05U.0,0*(&$http://crl.globalsign.net/class2.crl0 *H |Sbt%vS{]P62<Pe4t@ŋ"Mϛh7є]K<~yfȰGTɷ1ٺc/'[}Ƙ[ #_0L0D0, x0 *H 0m10 UBE10U GlobalSign nv-sa10UPrimary Class 2 CA1&0$UGlobalSign Primary Class 2 CA0 990128120001Z 040128120000Z0]10 UBE10U GlobalSign nv-sa10U Class 2 CA10UGlobalSign Class 2 CA00 *H 0 Q[I`wQuuɅLvz+ǜN @2yDчSӻ-_)T/N˛y4z3Z2uCaE ȇ;G-lGN y0w0U 0Unב`W Wv3YQ0U#0|粱,ޱkvNlǹ0 `HB 0U0 0 *H Cl$9B,3HnGZ-%vpnڎ2U!Vo{Ew5LsLp@<""taT4joH|WtԓLcaHв#8 8[ޣb2vn6@&GQ/^b26Gb]ŢYP`DO=t|f\E ߈$v |ݍZV vZR3DV6WAхqs00 x0 *H 0W10 UBE10U GlobalSign nv-sa10URoot CA10UGlobalSign Root CA0 990128120000Z 090128120000Z0m10 UBE10U GlobalSign nv-sa10UPrimary Class 2 CA1&0$UGlobalSign Primary Class 2 CA0"0 *H 0 EAnؿ!oR, ?Jc*I'ZtUѪy՝OƲ^c:o(A"NHϹٽ8O; DnUA ؿ!L"ĨkOuhV(P$.$9 dI!h~q0`9PzM k|yNJ66dB_ĺ@:YMSPQ lm]|?|O'%pPYufX,މ ICw c0a0U 0U|粱,ޱkvNlǹ0U#0`{fE ʉP/}4K0U00 *H cYΊyNʼnd7~g/o'Íwm\Vi`0F]mE<5|/Q艽'4\h$ۑC% BH$XZkG,hiB &撆dn><}q#ը߂;ODh./~GBSkJ2^>pF-n(@fSiU.i|iT۞Z>QKuVB&"sB100l0]10 UBE10U GlobalSign nv-sa10U Class 2 CA10UGlobalSign Class 2 CA O~0 + 0 *H 1 *H 0 *H 1 031004175105Z0# *H 1?VFf+᜕%0R *H 1E0C0 *H 0*H 0 *H @0+0 *H (0{ +71n0l0]10 UBE10U GlobalSign nv-sa10U Class 2 CA10UGlobalSign Class 2 CA O~0}*H 1nl0]10 UBE10U GlobalSign nv-sa10U Class 2 CA10UGlobalSign Class 2 CA O~0 *H q#^ 5T> rT[H^$Vc^v'KX~HPɓ2.pK\N!\zlSFW+vYHt~?3]xƕ
