History: 1) machine was installed from 4.1-RELEASE cdrom 2) updating the machine via NFS using maproot=nobody Problem1: the installworld craps out with error cd sdbm && make all rm -rf libsdbm.a rm: libsdmb.a: Permission denied ===> this means we have to maproot to root ... sigh. 3) If I then export it with maproot=root, then it craps out with chmod:No such file or directory so I then have to add chmod to line 313 of /usr/src/Makefile.inc1 ... sigh 4) Then I try again .. and now it cannot find touch... Running Mkbootstrap for SDBM_FILE () touch:No such file or directory So, does it work if I then add "touch" to Makefile.inc1? Not to be overly whiney (well, I guess I am), but "GEEZE, Louise. This is pretty badly broken." Thanks.
