Hi, I used to run a server off of my home connection, and ran DNS off of it ... and it has been working fine for a long time now... I am about to get a new service, and I will be authoritative for my own domain... Basically, now I have my NS entries pointed to my ISP provided hostname. My question is, when I become authoritative, is all I need to do is change my ISP provided hostname to my own hostname? (Providing that I have correctly setup the reverse DNS entries) Or are there any other things I need to do? Any suggestions would be appreciated. This will be the first time I have ran a nameserver that is authoritative over itself.
