After reading from the handbook I configured all of the ppp files  
(host, sysconfig, ppp.conf, etc...)

I have not been able to figure out how to get the modem to dial. I  
tried typing ppp and ppp -dial provider.

AFter a while I get freyes routed[46]: deleting route to interface  
(timed out).
