Hello, Thanks a lot, You're right, I installed the OpenLDAP with SASL, but I've reinstalled without the WITH_SASL macro, and it is working now. I'm = going to use the LDAP server only from localhost for mail authentication, thus I don't think, I'll need the SASL support in this case. Cheers, G=E1bor K=F6vesd=E1n -----Original Message----- From: Jonathan Chen [mailto:jonc@chen.org.nz]=20 Sent: Friday, January 28, 2005 8:18 PM To: K?vesd?n G?bor Cc: freebsd-questions@freebsd.org Subject: Re: OpenLDAP doesn't start What's happened here is that prior to you installing OpenLDAP+SASL, you installed a port which used LDAP and brought in a dependancy on OpenLDAP *without* SASL (eg: KDE). The thing to do now is to rebuild all ports which depend on LDAP so that it now depends on OpenLDAP+SASL. Cheers. --=20 Jonathan Chen <jonc@chen.org.nz> ---------------------------------------------------------------------- If you're right 90% of the time, why quibble about the remaining 3%?
