One example is hardcoding usernames and paths that are CenOS/RedHat specific. Another example is slight change in config file syntax that makes old config files unusable. All this would require quite a lot of patching for which I don't have time or interest. Having said all this, it would be much better to create a separate port for this forked version as it is basically a different script, but that would require someone to volunteer their time.
