[FreeBSD 5.1-RELEASE (GENERIC) #0: Thu Jun 5 02:55:42 GMT 2003] I selected regular user without x system as the installation type, and only selected one port as part of the installation, nmap 3.27. The problem is that every time I want use nmap to do a ping scan of my network (nmap -sP 10.0.0.0/8 >> 10.net.txt), the computer reboots after a few minutes. It always reboots at he same point of the scan, after it reaches a particular computer. Where is the problem? If this is not the right group to post the question, please let me know. Thanks. regards, federico PS. you can find details about my pc hardware configuration in the attached text file. ------=_NextPart_000_005A_01C39FB6.5CD89D30 Content-Type: text/plain; name="log.txt" Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable Content-Disposition: attachment; filename="log.txt" Oct 31 14:18:20 C061 syslogd: kernel boot file is /boot/kernel/kernel Oct 31 14:18:20 C061 kernel: Copyright (c) 1992-2003 The FreeBSD = Project.
