Been a while since I worked on getting my Canon BJC-1000 to print, so I'm not sure what the current state of things, but Mike's right on the first steps, although apsfilter might need some tweaking, because... The most likely route for getting this little guy seems to be gimp-print, and that means folding a new driver into the ghostscript distribution. Go here: gimp-print.sourceforge.net. I'm probably going to try this again pretty soon too. If it works, be sure to report success or whatever to the gimp-print folks-- the BJC1000 seems always to be listed as "untested" meaning nobody in the project happens to have access to one..
