No it doesn't confirm it although what da0 is showing isn't expected. Install /usr/ports/sysutils/smartmontools if you haven't already and run: smartctl -a /dev/da0 and smartctl -a /dev/da1 It could be the GEOM meta-data got corrupted. No fsck will work until that has been addressed. -- Adam
